Meet the Club Evaluation Committee

HOW THE COMMITTEE WAS FORMED
The HOA Board initially appointed Dennis Weibling and Brandy Maranian to organize the effort based on their professional experience. Together, they invited four additional homeowners whose backgrounds complement the skills needed to evaluate a transaction of this complexity.

All committee members are Verde River homeowners with a personal investment in the community and its future. Each is volunteering their time to serve on the CEC.

THE COMMITTEE

Dennis Weibling – Co-Chair
Private equity, finance, and transaction evaluation.

Brandy Maranian – Co-Chair
Experience in operations, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and nearly three years serving on the Club Advisory Group.

Mark Bromberg
Restaurant, club and hospitality operations.

Mike Ulvestad
Mergers and acquisitions and transaction structuring.

Jim Nunns
Golf operations, construction and infrastructure.

Joe Castriano
Financial, tax planning, and business analysis.

Collectively, the committee brings experience in finance, mergers and acquisitions, hospitality, golf operations, corporate leadership, and governance. While none of these volunteers have all the answers today, we believe this combination of experience provides our community with a strong, qualified team to evaluate this opportunity thoroughly and objectively.

OUR ROLE
Our responsibility is to determine whether homeowner ownership is a viable option. We are gathering facts, evaluating the opportunities and risks, and assessing whether there is a sound business case to present to the community. The CEC work is organized around four areas:
Resident communications | Asset evaluation | Decision formulation and community engagement | Offer development, if appropriate.
